Changing laws for air traffic controllers

I'm sure you've heard by now about the recent incident of the air traffic controller falling asleep on their shift at Reagan Airport. Or at McGhee Tyson Airport. Or in Miami. Or at Reno-Tahoe Airport.

Fortunately, lawmakers have heard too - and the FAA announced that air traffic controllers are no longer allowed to work alone overnight. In addition, they are planning to make schedule changes that will make it more conducive for them to get rest in between shifts.

I'd consider that a small victory!
