Parasomnia pseudo-suicide

Last year, the NY Times wrote a piece about Tobias Wong. It is a fascinating read about the significant impact this young man had on the design world, and thus the tragic nature of his death. But his death was not a simple suicide, as the medical examiner labeled it: he appears to have hung himself in his sleep.

Parasomnias are quite common - night terrors, sleepwalking, sleep talking, etc. - but Tobias' case was extreme. The article lists examples of complex behaviors he executed in his sleep, such as cutting vegetables, running to the bank, and throwing large objects. Check out this thoroughly-written article for a high-profile example of sleep disorders.
